The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam November 17, 2016Today we visited The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam for our blog. The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is located at the Museum Square next to the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. The museum was founded in 1874 and moved into this building in 1895. The building was designed by A.W. Weissman. After the construction of the new façade, the museum was nicknamed de Badkuip (The Bathtub).
After we have visited the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, we were curious what there is to explore in our own museum for modern and contemporary art. The museum’s mission is to enrich people’s live with modern and contemporary art and design!
